Requirement
With retirement an immediate ambition the adviser of this client portfolio wishes to secure a new custodian. One that can offer the same degree of attention and quality service the clients have enjoyed for many years.
Ideally the ultimate acquirer will have client servicing capabilities within the OX & GL postcodes so providing continuity of service post the completion date.
The ambition is for a sale within 2023. As the adviser has self employed employment status this will be an asset sale.
Consideration
The adviser generates recurring income streams of c£100k annually – all clients are retained on signed service arrangements.
As the portfolio is well managed, all investments are with household named product providers, and legacy advice is free from issue, and covered by external compliance oversight, a premium valuation is reasonably expected.
Applying normal market valuation metrics of 3-3.5 times RI offers, subject to DD and contract, are expected in the band £300-£350k with consideration passing from acquirer to vendor in 3 instalments over a 24 month term, following normal market buy-out behaviours.
