A long established Directly Authorised Advisory firm servicing clients predominately within the Somerset area.

Background.

Formed and led by the sole Director who now wishes for retirement allowing time to pursue lifestyle interests outside the Financial Services sector.

With approximately £40m FUM this profitable business services a portfolio of clients within the “mass affluent” category plus several classified as HNW – the aggregate investment portfolio is c£250k.

All clients are contracted to fee paying service agreements which generates c£225k pa for the business in recurring income.

Throughout the firm has discretely sought to provide excellent levels of client service achieving loyalty and retention plus a clean FCA record.

Compliance, administrative support and Paraplanning are in house services with external support.

Client records are maintained in computerised form using industry leading software.

Requirement

Reflecting on age and lifestyle aspirations the Director wishes for retirement during 2017.

He seeks an acquirer organisation with shared cultural values and high levels of integrity ensuring a safe home for his loyal and trusted clients.

With an open mind to post sale commitment the vendor will participate as required in the client integration process ensuring a minimum of disruption. It is expected this will be in an Ambassadorial capacity rather than advisory. However the firm has advisory and administrative staff available for ongoing employment should this be the wish of the acquirer.

Consideration

Fair consideration is expected at market rate paid in deferred terms over an 18-24 month period via a share sale enabling ETR eligibility.
