April 29, 2019Standard Life Aberdeen advice business 1825 has acquired the wealth management arm of BDO Northern Ireland.
The deal will add around £230 million in assets under advice, and represents the seventh acquisition since its inception four years ago, and its first since the purchase of London-based Cumberland Place in April 2018.
International accountancy firm BDO's Northern Ireland wealth management division, which employs 12 staff including 4 financial planners, will be known as 1825 Northern Ireland.
It's office will remain in Belfast city center and will form part of the 1825 North West region headed by regional managing director Mike Cullinane.
Cullinane said: 'I’m delighted 1825 has extended its geographical reach and that we will now have a presence in Northern Ireland. I welcome the BDO NI wealth management team to 1825 North West region.
