Requirement
The founding Director and 100% shareholder has reached his elected retirement age and wishes to secure a new custodian for his client portfolio and business – one that shares the same core values for transparency, honesty, and simplistic advice. Milestones that determine the culture for this business and the expectation of its clients.
Important to the vendor is the acquirer can demonstrate client servicing capabilities within the same geography as the existing firm’s reach so providing for continuity of service.
Consideration
The business has always steered away from the promotion of high risk advice and product promotion. It’s always provided honest and prudent advice. It’s a fully FCA compliant entity and as such a valuable commercial opportunity which needs be reflected in the headline consideration.
Market rate buy-out terms are reasonably expected as a share purchase with consideration paid over a 24 month term.
The owner and support staff will not look for ongoing employment post the deal date however will provide assistance with the client integration and onboarding processes. Its a sell and go model.
